I recently encountered a website dedicated to the measurement and classification of camera systems in a very unique and very reliable way. This place must have been popularly known by most users of digital SLRs: DXOMark. Being curious, I did a quick comparison between the last lines of digital SLR around senior professionals from Canon and Nikon, and camped for the apparatus, against mine, obsolete, entry level, mainly looked down by everyone, Olympus. In terms of specifications and overall summary, Canon and Nikon has won hands down in terms of image resolution (all those megapixels ...pffftt), dynamic range and low light ISO performance in general. Performance wise, such as handling and frames per second, Olympus is far behind, since the specifications were designed for the class of input level.
