Further development of Canon's flagship Speedlite has led to the production of the 580 EX II. It is the choice Speedlite for all photographers, including professionals. Newly designed to match with the EOS-1D Mark III in terms of improved dust and water-resistance, the body's resistance and the ability to control flash functions and settings from the menu of the camera (EOS-1D Mark III only). But as is the 580EXII is perfect for portraits of family, indoors or outdoors as a fill light.
Do not expect to operate as Speedlite 430EX and the 430EXII with Pocket Wizards.
